Good morning Titans!
Today is….
Wednesday, December 10th, 2008
•On Thursday and Friday of this week the Fine Arts Department will be presenting
a huge concert, so big it will take two nights. Over 500 students will be
participating in performing with the choirs, orchestra and band. There will be
dancers, singers, drummers, clarineters, tubaers, violiners, …oops I mean
clarinets, tubas and violins. There will also be art displays and thespians to
seat and greet you. Don’t miss it. Admission to the concert is one non
perishable food item per ticket. Tickets can be obtained from Mr. Frazier or Mr.
Geer in A-5 or Mr. Dreiling in A-11 before the concert for floor seating or at
the door for balcony seating. Come Celebrate the Holidays at 7 PM in the
auditorium this week.
•“Titans, do you have a special someone whom you’d like to wish a happy
holiday’s to, and at the same time contribute to a good cause? Then throughout
the week of Dec 8th through Dec 12th, Stuco will be selling candy grahams (which
is like a valentine) by the main entrance. They are only $1.00 each and will be
delivered to your special someone on December 16th. All proceeds will go to the
Kansas Food Bank to help stock their shelves during this difficult holiday
season. We hope you will support this worthy cause.”
•French Club meeting in E-8 to finish Enterprise trip arrangements! Bring your
lunch!
•“It is not too late to sign up for bowling, if you are interested see Mr.
Dickman in B-2 or Mr. Allison in C-5 for more information. There is no
experience required, and all you need is a good attitude.”
•There will be a brief Conspiracy club meeting today in M6 during lunch. The
meeting will last only 10 min.
•Reminder the Art Portfolio Club will be meeting again this Friday in room A13
at lunch time, bring your lunch and meet with the art teachers, Ms. Saville and
Ms. Suderman.
If you are a senior who is interested in pursuing a career in art than you
should be there! All artwork for the Scholastic Art Show has to be submitted by
January 5, 2008.
•Design Poster Winners for the FA Music Program are:
Overall/Grand Winner-Ashley Bolby
First place winners for each class are: Anthony Parker, Isaac Banta, Andey Srey,
Marissa Grover, Laura Pinilla, Clayton Shepherd
*Their winning designs are currently displayed in the display cases in the front
entry.
•Mid-Term Seniors:
Please plan on attending the mandatory Mid-Term Graduation meeting scheduled
Wednesday, December 10 at 2:10 p.m in Room B10. You will receive important
information regarding the exiting process from South High School. Please make
arrangements with your employer if you typically go to work immediately after
school.
Please contact your counselor as soon as possible if you have made the decision
to attend classes or enroll in the Learning Center second semester.
