Coach Scheufler holds a Master’s of Educational Leadership degree from MidAmerica Nazarene in Olathe Kansas, where he attended school in the 2005-2006 school years; A Bachelors of Secondary Social Science Education (7-12) from Bethany College in Lindsborg Kansas where he attended from 2000-2004.  Coach Scheufler was awarded with the 2005 Kansas Department of Education “Teacher of Promise” giving to outstanding student teachers.  He graduated from High School in 2000 from Ellinwood High School in Ellinwood Kansas.  While at Ellinwood he served as Football and Basketball team captain, while also being included in NHS, STUCO, and FCA. 

 Coach Scheufler spent last year teaching and coaching at Sterling High School in Sterling Kansas. He taught a variety of Social Studies courses including American History, Kansas History, World History, and Civics.  He served on the football staff as Quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator.  Coach Scheufler inherited an offense that had passed for 290 the previous season and 2 passing touchdowns.  In his first season at the school he helped improve those numbers to 1,090 yards and 12 passing touchdowns over 10 games.  Coach personally coached an All-MCAA HM selection at quarterback who passed for 1,000 yards and rushed for 900.  

Prior to his time at Sterling, he was an assistant football coach at Bethany College in Lindsborg with current Wichita South coach Tony Johnson.  While at Bethany, he coached defensive backs and was a recruiter for a great area of Kansas.  In his two years Coach Scheufler coached two first team defensive backs and helped instruct one of the top passing defenses in the country. 

Coach played football at Bethany College under legendary Kansas coach Dr. Ted K. Kessinger.  He played a wide receiver, tight end, and numerous special teams. He finished his collegiate career with a 28-11 record over four years.   He was a member of the 2001 conference championship squad which boasted the top passing offense in the country and the third ranked overall offense in the country under the guidance of current Malone College (Canton, Ohio) offensive coordinator Dustin Miller.  In High School at Ellinwood, Coach Scheufler was voted the Iron Eagle award winner his senior year, while breaking the school record for reception in a career (92).

Jeremy is married to Amanda (Walters) Scheufler originally from Wichita Kansas (Maize 2001) and they have a miniature schnauzer named Macie.
